Bad Deeds (Dirty Money #3)
Lisa Renee Jones keeps making magic out of her writing. Bad Deeds is no exception. And this ride with the Dirty Money series is such a wicked one. Bad Deeds is a book about secrets, jealousy, family drama, and also finding redemption in the person we least expect it from. But we do know that love can conquer and find a way to change who we are for the better. I could not be more engrossed in this book and in this series. That is why I will let you in on a little secret. You will hate this line... "I will live to hurt you. I will live to torture you. You will die a slow, painful death for this." Those mother 'effing cliffhangers Ms. Jones leaves us with are pure EVIL. Lol. Seriously, though. How can you do that to us? But anyway, here's a little brief of to what I found from finishing Bad Deed. While Shane Brandon is still in the crossfire between Brandon Enterprise and the Martina Cartel that his brother Derek Brandon engaged with, things are still not any smoother and the trust that he once had for Derek is crumbling. The crumbles keep falling on all aspects of Shane's life, with the most important part being his family. His father's health is still declining, his mother's secrets are coming out, and trying to save the family company is also turning him into the man he did not want to become. All of this becoming a fear that it will lead to him losing Emily. Emily is the only good that comes out of the bad. The light to his darkness, and the escape to the chaos that brews all around.
The Brandon brothers need to find a way to leave their past emotions behind in order to save their family and in the process try to save not only the family, but each other and those around them. But when their difference make them stubborn, the only way out will make it playing nicely more powerful and lethal. But while Shane finally finds a way to bring the family back to its restored glory, the uncontrolled problems keep getting bigger and bigger and ready to blow. Losing people he loves along the way.
From the Dirty Money series I found book two to be my favorite in the series, but Bad Deeds is a close second. I would recommend readers to invest their time with this read, the family drama, the thrilling danger, and the need to save everyone is engaging as it is thrilling to read.
