A Shade of Vampire (A Shade of Vampire #1)
5 Vampires done right Stars
This review is going to be simple and short, because there really isn't much to say other than, I loved this read. And below hopefully I'll give a quick glimpse as to why. I had first seen buzz on this book through Facebook. For me, it is very difficult to find a good book about vampires. Yeah, I have a thing about vampires and all their dark tendencies and fantasy... so don't you dare go judging. It makes me happy. *laughs* But seriously, I didn't even read any of the reviews that were written about the story, nor did I read the blurb. I jumped right in without hesitation. And I devoured this book in a day. It was that good. The writing pace was very quick and fluid. It flowed so wonderfully and the story was such good story telling. I love Sofia, though she is only seventeen she embraced her age and naive to a point where it didn't rub me the wrong way. Derek... ah, Derek. His hatred for becoming with he is and the bit of humanity he still holds dearly makes him such a great character. I truly loved the story and could see how other readers enjoyed it as well. Though it's a series, the books themselves go quickly. The story and plot are interesting enough and very well devolved. And even thought there are about 30+ books in there series. Derek's and Sofia's books go up until book 7. So that's a nice reprieve for those who do not wish to continue all the way through. But I'm sure that I will once I can get back into it. I would recommend this series to those who love reading paranormal romance, and vampires. This was a very well written book with vampiric creatures.
